WES Global Talent Bridge Partners

WES Global Talent Bridge is dedicated to helping immigrants and refugees leverage their education, achieve their professional goals, and fully utilize their talents in Canada. We engage with community organizations, academic institutions, workforce development organizations, and other groups to put research and best practices into action and advocate for policies that promote equity and inclusion for immigrants and refugees. IEHP WORK

WES has been working with many partners to raise awareness of the deep disconnect between the underutilization of internationally educated health professionals (IEHP) and the needs of Canada’s health and long-term care systems.

WES GATEWAY PROGRAM

The WES Gateway Program assesses the educational credentials of individuals who have been displaced as a result of adverse circumstances in their country and have limited proof of academic achievements. WES works with partner organizations across Canada to refer clients to the program. See the full list of referral partners here.

EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT

Community Projects

WES works alongside community-based organizations to develop change agents and foster immigrant inclusion in local communities across Canada. WES engages with partners in the creation of strategies unique to each community, including employer workshops, localized playbooks for hiring and retaining newcomers, job/hiring fairs, and communication campaigns highlighting the value of immigrant talent.

#ImmigrantsWork National Coalition

The #ImmigrantsWork coalition was formed to use its collective voice to promote the value of immigrants in Canada’s labour market as businesses respond to and recover from the pandemic. The coalition comprises eight organizations, including WES, with decades of experience helping employers leverage the education, skills, and experience of immigrant talent in their workplaces.

PRE-ARRIVAL AND REFERRAL PROGRAMS

WES Global Talent Bridge’s referral program facilitates the connection of internationally educated professionals to programs and services, enabling individuals to meet their settlement and career goals in Canada.

IMMIGRANT YOUTH

WES engages with key stakeholders and workforce development organizations to drive change, create impact, and support positive long-term employment outcomes and economic empowerment of immigrant youth. WES co-chairs the National Roundtable on Immigrant Youth with the Canadian Council for Youth Prosperity with a network of members.
